The first year during my separation, I had to spend Christmas alone. I had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and my daughter was with her father out of town. I decided I had to do something creative or I would, once again, self-destruct.
I picked a wall in my kitchen and painted it bright orange. Then I painted circles of various sizes along the wall.
I then went a step further. Using a marker, I wrote inspirational quotes that had helped me survive rough times before. The wall contains quotes from Jesus and Buddha to Oprah!! Over the years, I have added more and more quotes. It has really helped me heal. I would encourage you to do the same. (There is more info on this in the book.)
Please submit quotes to me at the link on upper mid-right of your page. Whether you do this on a wall or in a journal, it is guaranteed to help your heart heal.
